News Update Feb 2009

Paul BuckinghamIn 2008 we had an excellent attendance record by our workers which is greatly appreciated by everyone here at First Choice Recruitment.

In honour of this we decided to award a prize to the person with the best record for 2008 which this year will be called the 'Clare Timlin Zero Absence Award 2008'

(Clare, for those of you who don't know has taken care of our payroll for over 10 years and hasn't had a day off sick in the last 5 years)

The awarded person will receive a £50 high street voucher a certificate and will have next year's prize named after them.

This year Paul Buckingham had been awarded the prize.

2008 Review

As we are all aware with all the doom and gloom this year First Choice Recruitment are happy to report that our business has gone from strength to strength in 2008.

We celebrated our 15th Anniversary this year in style back in February and are looking ahead now to our 20th!

In a dynamic, fast paced and highly competitive industry we focus on providing our clients with the best possible service and finding the right people for the right job.

We would like to take this opportunity on congratulating Clare Timlin on her new promotion to Office Manager. Clare started as Junior Branch Administrator almost 11 years ago and has worked her way up the ranks taking on more and more responsibility, excelling in all areas and aspects of company business and truly deserves her promotion. Congratulations Clare!!!

We would also just like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our clients and candidates and every one who has helped 2008 be a success……. Let’s see what 2009 brings!

15th Anniversary

heartsOn the 15th February this year, we marked our 15th Anniversary success by handing out Valentine style chocolates and balloons to local people in and around our offices on Silver Street and in Wakefield City Centre. Our promotional girls gave people in the community the chance to win a luxury Harrods food hamper and Emma Colton won the fantastic hamper stocked with delicious treats!…big congratulations!

Along side the promotion held on the 15th of February, we ran a successful media campaign which appeared in the local Wakefield/Pontefract Express Newspapers for a seven week period. The re-branded adverts were very well received and presscoverage boosted our ‘Valentine Style’ campaign immensely.

We wanted to acknowledge our committed staff and accomplishment and share it with the local community especially since we have successfully placed over 7000 temps from office juniors to board room level in the Wakefield area over nearly two decades.

As this was a big year for us at First Choice Group of Companies we also took the opportunity to re-brand our corporate identity. With much consideration and thought, we changed our company logo, stationary and launched our new website.

We just want to say a huge thank you, to all who have supported us for the past 15 years……and look forward to future success working within the community!
